Keeping dupattas visible and untangled
Visibility helps only when fabric can be removed without catching on the next piece.

Notice which ones disappear
A dupatta folded beneath several others can be easy to forget. Hanging may make the collection more visible, but a dense cluster on one ring can create a different search problem. Begin with the pieces you wear regularly and give them a position that allows one to be removed independently.
Group by the way you choose an outfit, whether that is colour, fabric or a matching set. There is no need to impose a complicated system. A small label on a shelf edge can help if several people share the wardrobe, but the arrangement should be understandable without constant sorting.
Inspect the contact surface
Rough hooks, exposed seams and sharp metal edges can snag light fabric. Check a hanger or divider carefully before using it. A smooth broad support may suit some pieces better than a narrow ring, especially when a border or embellishment is heavy.
Do not assume every dupatta should hang. Delicate or weighted fabrics may need supported folding according to their care guidance. Keep heavily decorated pieces from rubbing against everyday cloth. For valuable textiles, get advice suited to the material rather than treating a generic organiser as a care instruction.
Leave room to lift, not pull
On a rail, space the pieces so that you can lift the chosen one without dragging it across several neighbours. On a shelf, keep stacks low enough to remove an item without disturbing the whole pile. A shallow box can work if the contents remain visible and the material is appropriate.
Put away clean, dry items and check for moisture in the cupboard. A fabric cover should not become a place to hide a damp garment. Follow the textile's own cleaning instructions, particularly where colours or decoration may need special treatment.
Keep occasional pieces separate
If most of the collection is used only for events, reserve the easiest space for the everyday selection. A photograph or note can identify stored pieces without opening every cover.
After a few weeks, look for the dupattas that are repeatedly draped over a chair. Their assigned place may be inconvenient, too crowded or too far from the clothes they accompany. Adjust that relationship before buying another multi-loop hanger. The useful arrangement is the one that makes returning a piece as easy as taking it out.
